Susan Eig, MA, LPC
Susan Eig is the founder and visionary behind CaregiverSupportLink. She has over twenty-five years of experience as psychotherapist in Maryland and the District of Columbia with a general clinical practice working with individuals, couples, groups and family systems. Susan is a recognized expert in trauma, loss and bereavement, and dealing with life-threatening illnesses and situational crises. In 1994 Susan developed a program for caregivers of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She has presented at the National Alzheimer's Association meeting in Chicago, Illinois and has also been a keynote speaker for state Alzheimer's groups. Susan is a nationally certified Death Educator and Grief Counselor and is the co-founder and President of Counseling & Training Resources, Inc.
Susan has extensive experience in program design, training and consultation (see list) and has held positions as Director of Bereavement Services and Director of Education and Outreach for The Jewish Community Hospice in Montgomery County, Maryland. She also served on the faculty of the Washington School of Psychiatry's National Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide.
Susan received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and completed her graduate studies at Hood College and The Catholic University of America. She holds licenses in the District of Columbia in Social Work and Professional Counseling. She is a member of The American Academy of Psychotherapists, The American Counseling Association and The International Coaching Federation. Susan was named in the November 2001 issue of Washingtonian Magazine as a specialist trained to deal with grief and trauma.

Elisabeth J. Rushing, MD
Dr. Elisabeth J. Rushing serves as the Medical consultant to CaregiverSupportLink. She is currently Chairperson of the Department of Neuropathology and Ophthalmic Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC. She is also a consulting Neuropathologist to the Department of Pathology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC and to the Neuro-oncology Center at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, DC. Additionally, Dr. Rushing is Adjunct Associate Professor of Pathology at Georgetown University Medical Center,
Dr. Rushing has published extensively and is a frequent international guest lecturer. She is board certified in Neurology, Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology.

Ellen Schiff, PhD
Dr. Ellen Schiff is a psychologist and group leader with CaregiverSupportLink and also maintains a full time psychotherapy practice in Bethesda, Maryland. She has over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples and groups and also served as clinical director of a residential treatment center in Rockville, Maryland. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Schiff has extensive experience working with individuals and family systems coping with illness and loss, dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Schiff is a licensed psychologist in Maryland and Washington, DC and is also a nationally certified Group Psychotherapist. She is a member of the American Academy of Psychotherapists, the American Group Psychotherapy Association, the American Psychological Association, and the International Coaching Federation.

R. Elena Blum, MA, LMFT
Elena Blum is a group leader with CaregiverSupportLink and is a psychotherapist and certified mediator in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. She is fluent in four languages and will be offering future support groups for caregivers in Spanish, French and German. Elena is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington, DC. and is also a member of the newly established DC Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
